Good shows coming up

A couple of decent bands are coming through early in the new year. If you don't know them, it's time you did.

SWITCHES will be opening for The Bravery on February 6th at Granada. I saw them open for The Fratellis at the Roseland Ballroom in New York this past summer, and came away impressed. If you can imagine Franz Ferdinand with the bratty vocals of early Supergrass, then you'd have a pretty good idea as to what Switches sound like. Or, I could just provide the video for "Message from Yuz":

Another great band that will be at The Loft on March 12th is THE CRIBS. If you've ever been to Fallout early enough, you've probably heard me play some stuff from their latest album, "Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever". It's no nonsense, loud, punk inspired rock. It's really hard to ruin something like that. Seeing as this show coincides with their travels down to SXSW, there will probably be another decent band on the bill too. Take a look and listen to "Don't You Wanna Be Relevant":

We might be doing another edition of FEVER this Friday. I haven't heard if we are, and if someone else is working that night, they aren't promoting. Keep your eyes peeled.
