The Goose is finally loose!

Goose Gossage finally elected to Baseball Hall of Fame

I remember when Goose played for the Rangers in 1991. He struck out three of the first four batters he faced in his first game. He picked up his 308th save to preserve Nolan Ryan's 308th career win later in the season. One of those strange coincidences that makes the game of baseball so great.

This is a long time coming. Goose helped change the way the game is played, and without him, the modern day one inning closer doesn't exist. That means no Lee Smith, no Mariano Rivera, no Trevor Hoffman, no second half to Dennis Eckersley's career.

Congrats to the Goose!

Allow me to copy and paste from the first post on this blog:

This will mostly be a music blog, but we might also be inclined to share our opinions on other issues. As is the case when you come to see us at Fallout Lounge, expect anything.

This blog promotes FEVER, but it's mostly a blog about the men that present the night. Who we are, what interests us, what gets us going, etc. I'm not some sort of button pushing robot that is pulled from the storage closet every Friday. I love music, yes, but I have other interests as well. If something comes along that excites me, angers me, bothers me, or whatever, this is where you'll hear about it.
