The NME is reporting that Kelly Groucutt, known as the bassist for the Electric Light Orchestra from 1975 to 1983, died of a heart attack yesterday at age 62.
I'm a massive ELO fan, and have been since I was a small child. Many of the classic songs you know and love don't exist without Kelly's backing vocals. I'm actually at a loss for words right now. Sad day.
