The Secret History, who released their debut album in March, are a New York based band who are quickly making a name for themselves. Songwriter Michael Grace Jr. knows how to write a catchy pop tune that will get people moving, having been a resident DJ in the early days of NYC's popular indie club night Mondo. "Johnny Anorak" is one such song. Once the song kicks in, you're instantly hooked by the National-esque vibe, helped by the vocal delivery of Lisa Ronson, who happens to be the daughter of Mick Ronson, the late Spiders From Mars guitarist.
